The 2025 ISRFG will bring global experts and scholars engaged in theoretical and applied research on rice together, aiming to pool wisdom, inspire the future, and build a platform for exchange and cooperation to advance global rice science and technology. The symposium has specially invited internationally renowned rice scientists to share and prospect cutting-edge developments of rice research, as well as prominent scientists from various fields of rice research to present their latest discoveries.
The symposium will be held at the Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park in Chengdu, China. The venue is located near the Baodun Cultural Site, where the remains of a 4,500-year-old rice field have been discovered, laying the foundation for the agricultural civilization of the Land of Abundance. The registration for this symposium is limited to 450 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
The main schedule of the symposium is as follows: On-site registration will take place on August 23, followed by a special session for young scientists in the evening. The opening ceremony will be held on the morning of August 24, featuring keynote and plenary talks. In the afternoon of August 24, four concurrent sessions will be conducted. On the morning of August 25, keynote and plenary talks will continue, followed by a visit to the Baodun Rice Cultural Site in the afternoon and poster sharing time. On August 26, four concurrent sessions will be held in the morning, and the symposium will conclude with plenary talks, followed by closing ceremony in the afternoon.
